Magician / Mentalist in San Diego

Derek Ostovani, a regular performer at The World Famous Magic Castle, has performed for celebrities, corporate executives, fortune 500 companies and audiences large and small around the globe. He’s not in the business of doing Magic, rather in the business for making memories. He uses a special blend of psychology, illusions, and witty humor to charm and amaze even the toughest crowd and provide for an astounding show! Derek can even incorporate hypnosis into the show and use years of training to make the performance come alive with interactive enjoyment.

He has performed at theaters across the nation including The Magic Castle in Hollywood, The Chicago Magic Lounge, and many others. He is a talented and acclaimed Magician/Mentalist who specializes in providing high-end entertainment for all kinds of special events, occasions, and gatherings.

Derek holds the 2012 1st Place award in the Close-up competition for the International Brotherhood of Magicians (I.B.M.) and served 2 terms as President for his local I.B.M. Ring in San Diego. Derek attends an Invite only convention in Buffalo, New York known as 4F (Fechter's Finger Flicking Frolic) where only 250 of the best and most creative Magicians are invited.

Derek holds a Bachelor's of Science in Structural Engineering that he obtained from Cal Poly in San Luis Obispo and utilizes his background in engineering to think up and manufacture some of his own effects.
